How to ask
- Save anything you need first, such as reports or your list of who owes you. Deleting can't be undone.
- From the email address on your Tefro account, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my Tefro account". Include your shop's name.
- We'll reply to confirm it's you. If you can't reach that email address, tell us and we'll ask for other proof that the shop is yours.
- We delete the account within 30 days of confirming, and tell you when it's done.
What's deleted
If you own the shop, we delete your sign-in account and all of the shop's cloud data:
- shop and branch details, and phone records;
- staff, customers and credit ledgers;
- products, photos, sales, payments, stock history and the activity log;
- crash reports from the shop's phones.
If you're a manager on someone else's shop, we delete your sign-in account and remove your access. The shop's records stay with the shop.
What's kept, and for how long
- Encrypted backups: your data stays in existing backups until they expire, within 30 days after we delete it. We only restore a backup to recover from a serious problem, and if we do, we'd delete your data again.
- Legal duties: we keep anything the law requires, only for as long as it requires. We'd tell you what and why.
- Your phones: we can't reach records saved on a phone. Remove the Tefro app from each phone to clear them.
Removing the app isn't enough
Uninstalling Tefro clears that phone only. Your cloud account and shop data stay until you ask us to delete them.
Staff and customers of a shop
Cashiers use a PIN and have no sign-in account. If you're a staff member or customer and want your details removed, ask the shop. If the shop can't help, email us with the shop's name and your request. Read more in our privacy policy.
